Biography

*هاله صلاح الحصري* فنانه تشكيلية مصرية و باحثة ماجستير في مجال التصميم الجرافيكي. حصلت على بكالوريوس الفنون الجميلة - قسم الجرافيك، شعبة فن الكتاب، من جامعة المنيا عام 2004، كما حصلت على دبلومة الجرافيك من جامعة حلوان ودبلومة الديكور المسرحي من استوديو عماد الدين

أقامت أربعة معارض فردية في مؤسسات فنية و ثقافية مرموقة، من بينها دار الأوبرا المصرية، و شاركت في العديد من من المعارض الجماعية المحلية و الدولية. تتميز تجربتها الفنية بالجمع بين الحس التشكيلي و التصميمي، مع اهتمام خاص بالعلاقة بين الإنسان و البيئة و المشاعر الإنسانية و الرموز البصرية.

إلى جانب ممارساتها الفنية، تتابع أبحاثا الأكاديمية في مجال التصميم الجرافيكي الموجّه لدعم المرأة في مجال تصميم أغلفة الكتب و إلقاء الضوء على الفنانات المتخصصات في هذا المجال.

*Hala Salah Al-Husari* is an Egyptian visual artist and master’s researcher in the field of graphic design. She obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts - Graphic Department, Book Art Division, from Minya university in 2004, and also obtained a Graphic Diploma from Helwan university and Diploma in Theatrical Decoration from Imad Al-Din studio

She held four solo exhibitions in prestigious artistic and cultural institutions, including the Egyptian Opera House, and participated in many local and international collective exhibitions. Her artistic experience is characterized by a combination of plastic and design sense, with special attention to the relationship between man and the environment, human feelings and visual symbols.

In addition to her artistic practice, she pursues her academic research in the field of graphic design aimed at supporting women in the field of book cover design and shedding light on female artists specialized in this field

Artist Statement

تنبع أعمالي الفنية من اهتمام عميق بالإنسان و علاقته بمحيطه النفسي و الوجداني. أسعى من خلال اللوحة إلى بناء عوالم بصريه تجمع بين الواقع و الخيال، حيث تتحول الأشكال و الألوان إلى لغه تعبر عن المشاعر و الذكريات و الحالات الإنسانيه المختلفة.

استلهم موضوعاتي من التجارب اليوميه، و من الطبيعه و ما تحمله من رموز و دلالات، و من البحث المستمر عن المساحات الآمنه التي تمنح الإنسان الشعور بالطمأنينة و الانتماء.

تعتمد أعمالي على التوازن بين العناصر التشكيلية والبناء التصميمي، مع اهتمام خاص بالإيقاع اللون و العلاقات البصرية التي تتيح للمشاهد مساحه للتأمل و التفسير الشخصي.

أؤمن بأن الفن مساحه للحوار و اكتشاف الذات و التعبير عنها.

My artwork stems from a deep interest in man and his relationship with his psychological and emotional environment. Through painting, I seek to build visual worlds that combine reality and imagination, Where shapes and colors turn into a language that expresses feelings, memories and different human situations.

My themes are inspired by daily experiences, by nature and its symbols and meanings, and by the constant search for safe spaces that give a person a sense of reassurance and belonging.

My work is based on a balance between plastic elements and design construction, with a special attention to color and rhythm and visual relationships that allow the viewer space for reflection and personal interpretation.

I believe that art is a space for dialogue, self-discovery and expression.

You are my soul

This collection draws its vision from Al-Rafi'i's saying: "Love between two people is only true if one can say to the other, 'You are me.'" It explores the relationship between spouses as a profound human bond based on love, affection, and mutual understanding, a bond capable of overcoming daily disagreements and challenges without losing its essence. The artworks visually embody this connection that makes the other an extension of the self, despite all the differences and changes they experience.

Between the dream and the constraints, the journey of searching for a wider tomorrow is formed. This group embodies a state of aspiration and hope, as the characters continue to walk towards new horizons despite the obstacles and challenges that surround them. Actions express the strength of man, and women in particular, in holding on to and pursuing their dreams, believing that hope always remains stronger than restrictions.

Man is born pure and free from any impurities, like a blank page. As the days pass, this page begins to be marked by what he acquires from those around him and by the passage of time. But what remains common to most is the aspiration for the best and the pursuit of achieving dreams.

Research & Academic Work

Holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Capital University (formerly Helwan University), I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Graphic Design.
My current research, titled **"Women's Contributions to Book Cover Design"**, explores the creative role of women in the field of book cover design and examines their artistic and visual impact on the development of contemporary publishing aesthetics. The study investigates the distinctive design approaches adopted by female designers, analyzes selected examples of their work, and highlights their contributions to enriching visual culture and the publishing industry.
Through this research, I aim to document and analyze women's creative achievements in this specialized field while contributing to a deeper understanding of the relationship between design, visual communication, and cultural expression.
